Compass Group Acquires Pro Care Management, a Technology- and Data-Driven Food Procurement Platform, From the Vivecti Group

The Vivecti Group and the Compass Group announced today that they have reached an agreement regarding Compass’s acquisition of Vivecti’s subsidiary Pro Care Management (PCM). The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.

PCM is one of the largest independent food purchasing groups (GPOs) in Germany and possesses extensive data and technology expertise. The company provides procurement services, master data management, and software for institutional kitchens in the healthcare sector and other industries.

The Compass Group, a global leader in food services, will use the planned acquisition to accelerate its GPO strategy in Europe. This includes enhanced data-driven procurement and expanded technology capabilities—thereby creating an even stronger foundation for further sustainable growth.

For the Vivecti Group, an integrated, technology-enabled healthcare company, this move enables an even stronger focus on its core business centered on medical processes—particularly following the announced acquisition of the Sana purchasing group. Following the completion of the transaction, the Vivecti Group and PCM will continue their partnership: PCM remains the preferred partner of the Vivecti Group and will continue to offer its technology and procurement solutions to the Vivecti customer base in the German healthcare sector. Nothing will change for PCM’s customers and suppliers—they will continue to receive the same range of services they are accustomed to.
