A Perfect Addition to Our Range of Expertise – CoSolvia Joins the Vivecti Group

22.01.2024

As the tenth company to join the group, CoSolvia will become part of the Vivecti Group, thereby expanding the range of expertise offered by the market-leading performance partner for healthcare providers in the fields of medical and building services engineering.

As a specialized service provider for the optimization of hospital technology, CoSolvia brings new expertise to the group. For the Vivecti Group, this is another logical step in realizing its vision: to comprehensively and sustainably increase the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of healthcare facilities.

“We are very pleased to welcome CoSolvia to the Vivecti Group. CoSolvia has built an excellent reputation over decades. With this acquisition, we will expand our portfolio to include comprehensive optimization and support services for the procurement and operation of medical and facility technology,” explains Dr. Benjamin I. Behar, CEO of the Vivecti Group.

CoSolvia: A Strong Partner for Efficiency and Cost Optimization

CoSolvia is a leading provider of modular services for hospitals in the fields of medical and facility technology. Using intelligent and specialized approaches, the company helps hospitals reduce costs and optimize processes—whether by optimizing their equipment inventory and maintenance and service costs or by developing investment plans tailored to clinical operations. CoSolvia’s expertise directly contributes to increasing the performance and competitiveness of healthcare facilities.

Stronger Together: Synergies for the Future

The acquisition of CoSolvia marks the next step in the long-standing, trusting partnership between the two companies. In the field of medical technology procurement, Vivecti’s subsidiary Prospitalia and CoSolvia are already successfully collaborating and have created added value for various mutual clients. WMC has also drawn on CoSolvia’s expertise in consulting projects in the past.

“We are very proud to have brought CoSolvia on board, as their expertise and range of services have already impressed us in the past,” Dr. Behar continued. “Furthermore, we complement each other perfectly.”

An assessment that Christian Somberg also shares. As Managing Director of CoSolvia, he will continue to lead the company alongside Cord Brüning under the umbrella of the Vivecti Group. “Together, we will be able to offer hospitals even more comprehensive and effective solutions—a true win-win situation for our clients and the entire healthcare sector.”

Somberg and Brüning both draw on many years of experience in the German healthcare sector. Christian Somberg worked for many years at Dräger, a leading international company in medical and safety technology, before becoming managing director of HERMED Technische Beratungs GmbH, a Fresenius subsidiary. Cord Brüning founded CoSolvia more than twenty years ago as a subsidiary of EADS to focus on services and consulting for hospital technical operations. In addition, he volunteers as chairman of the Scientific Society for Hospital Technology (Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Krankenhaustechnik e.V.) to promote knowledge transfer and support the next generation of professionals.

“The Vivecti Group is our ideal partner. Our collaboration with Vivecti to date has been a pleasure for my team and me, and has demonstrated that we will be able to address our customers’ challenges even better in the future and achieve even more for our customers together,” says Brüning, explaining this strategic move.

The Vivecti Group: A Visionary in Healthcare

For years, the Vivecti Group has been synonymous with excellent services and innovative, technology-based solutions in the healthcare sector. With a comprehensive portfolio focused primarily on process optimization and digitalization—ranging from procurement services and software to clinic management and specialized consulting services—the Vivecti Group currently helps more than 4,500 healthcare facilities operate more efficiently, sustainably, and cost-effectively during these economically challenging times.

With the integration of CoSolvia, the Vivecti Group is taking the next step in its mission to elevate healthcare to a new level through holistic approaches, innovation, and partnership.

“This acquisition is a win-win for everyone involved: Our customers benefit from an even broader and more powerful offering, and we can increase our contribution to a sustainable healthcare system,” summarizes Dr. Behar.
